This is the completed
stained glass Iris Cluster window. It is a copper foiled window that was soldered and given a black patina finish.
This window was framed with 1/4" zinc.
This photo shows the stained glass laying on the pattern and wrapped in copper
foil. Each piece of glass has a number code written on it so the pieces can be matched to the pattern
and put together correctly. The next step is to solder the glass together, patina the solder black and frame it in zinc.
The last step is to shine the stained glass to a high gloss with a glass wax. This will also clean all the writing and
any remaining chemicals from the glass.
This is the before photo.
The new window will add privacy and color to the front entry of the house.
This is the installed widow and what a difference it makes! There's
nothing like a colorful stained glass window to add that just right touch to your home.
